Job Summary

We are seeking an Air Import/Export Operations professional for a direct hire opportunity in City of Industry. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented freight forwarding professional who enjoys coordinating international air shipments, communicating with customers and overseas partners, and keeping freight moving accurately and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
- Open, maintain, and update operation files for air import and air export shipments.
- Monitor daily air and domestic shipments through carriers, terminals, warehouses, and trucking providers.
- Manage ETA and ETD updates, provide shipment status reports, and communicate proactively with customers.
- Coordinate customs-related filings, including AES, and work closely with customs brokers.
- Communicate with overseas offices, local partners, agents, and vendors to resolve delays, exceptions, and day-to-day shipment issues.
- Review customer billing and agent or vendor invoices for accuracy while maintaining organized operational records.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage daily air import and export operations from file opening through shipment completion.
- Coordinate shipment updates, customer communication, customs filings, and exception resolution.
- Verify billing, invoices, shipment data, and operational documentation for accuracy.
- 2 to 3+ years of proven freight forwarding experience.
- Strong knowledge of air import and air export operations.
- Experience coordinating with carriers, warehouses, terminals, trucking providers, customs brokers, agents, and overseas offices.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, updates, and priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- English required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Chinese language skills.
- Experience with GoFreight, CargoWise, or similar logistics, accounting, or freight forwarding systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
