What you’ll do

• Ensure production lines receive materials just in time, preventing work stoppages and delays.  This will require implementing and responding to replenishment signals and triggers.
• Ensure kits are complete when delivered to the assembly cell. 
• Stage materials at the point of use and replenish as necessary. Maintain an orderly and accessible stock of materials, optimizing layout for efficient retrieval.
• Work closely with stakeholders to anticipate material needs and adjust workflows accordingly.
• Implement and refine lean practices, ensuring consistent and reliable replenishment processes.
• Proactively identify shortages and inefficiencies; implement solutions to optimize material flow.
• Maintain safety protocols and 5S principles, contributing to an organized and safe environment.
• Track material movement accurately, ensuring data integrity in warehouse management systems.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; additional training in lean methodologies is a plus.
• 1-3 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or production environments is preferred.
• Understands material flow, inventory management, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience with kanban, just-in-time replenishment, and warehouse management systems.
• Strong ability to coordinate, prioritize, and multitask in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
• Ability to identify process inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions.
• Forklift and material handling equipment certification preferred.
