Company description Field Supply Wine is opening a tasting room on Warren Street in Hudson, NY: a place to pour our own natural wines alongside some of New York's most talented craft beverage producers, in a listening bar style space made for lingering and conversation. We're looking for creative, collaborative people with real enthusiasm for natural wine, music and culture. At the heart of the space is the tasting experience, supported by a small plates menu, careful music curation, and a considered selection of wine and wares to take home. Some roles will call for in-depth knowledge of wine, coffee and bar service, and every role comes with room to grow alongside the business. We're committed to ongoing training for the whole team, in natural wine, as well as experiential hospitality, third wave coffee and music. Job description Shifts Available: Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon/Tue - 4pm-10pmNote: Pay rate of $22-$30/hr is an estimated total of base hourly + equitable share of pooled tips Our hybrid barback and food runner role is a great entry level position to learn and grow with a small team! Expectations for this position include but are not limited too: Direct Support: replenishing items throughout service, stocking ice wells and fridges. Assisting bar staff with service prep. Food and drink running: ensuring items get to patrons in a timely manner. Bussing: running dirty dishes and glassware to the dish area. Maintenance: ware washing, sweeping or mopping up spills, changing empty kegs, clearing tables of empty glasses and water bottles, refilling waters, taking out trash and recycling, bathroom checks. Clear communication with coworkers throughout their shift. Skills and qualifications: Speed and multi-tasking: Ability to take direction and learn on the fly, helping team with what pops up during peak hours “No task too small” mindset Personable, engaging and helpful with co-workers. A strong communicator. Best practices in safely serving food & alcohol. Understanding of basic health, safety, and hygiene standards. Collective worker - this is a small staff and we all support each other with an “all hands” mindset. Record collectors and music nerds are definitely a plus!
