Careerscape is seeking a detail-obsessed Copy Editor to polish content across a range of projects — all fully remote. You'll be the last set of eyes that makes writing clear, correct, and consistent before it goes live.

If you catch typos on menus and can't help fixing a misplaced comma, this role is for you. Work from anywhere, collaborate with talented writers, and take pride in publishing clean, compelling copy.

Responsibilities

• Review and edit content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity
• Ensure consistency with style guides and brand voice
• Fact-check and verify sources for accuracy
• Collaborate with writers and content teams on revisions
• Proofread final drafts before publication
• Suggest improvements to structure, tone, and readability
• Manage multiple projects and meet publishing deadlines

Requirements

• Excellent command of English grammar and style
• Sharp attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
• Familiarity with style guides such as AP or Chicago
• Experience with word processing and content management tools
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• High school diploma required; degree in English, Journalism, or related field a plus
• Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet workspace
