Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, or Big Data engineering settings.
• We need strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake, Kafka, SQL, big data platforms, ingestion frameworks, Cloudera, and Qlik Replicate and/or Precisely Connect.
• We look for experience designing and supporting enterprise-grade data ingestion pipelines.
• We expect a solid understanding of source-to-target validation and data quality testing practices.
• We value the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex data and integration problems.
• We need excellent communication skills, including the ability to question assumptions, ask clarifying questions, and navigate ambiguous requirements.
• We prefer experience working in Agile or other fast-paced enterprise delivery environments.
• We prefer background in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry.
• We prefer familiarity with data lake modernization efforts and legacy-to-modern data migration projects.
• We prefer experience operating within large enterprise engineering organizations.

• We design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise data ingestion pipelines.
• We build and refine large-scale data movement and integration workflows.
• We work with both structured and semi-structured data across modern data platforms.
• We support migration efforts from on-premises systems into Snowflake-based data lake environments.
• We perform source-to-target reconciliation and data quality validation.
• We investigate and resolve complex data integration and ingestion issues.
• We partner with team leads, engineers, and business stakeholders to clarify needs and surface risks or gaps early.
• We communicate data mismatches, pipeline disruptions, and integration concerns clearly and promptly.
• We contribute to time-sensitive delivery efforts and production support activities.
• We help advance engineering best practices for data quality, ingestion reliability, and platform scalability.

We are supporting a high-profile enterprise data modernization initiative within a large banking environment, and this role is remote. The position is a contract opportunity with direct exposure to engineering leadership and technical leads, focused on accelerating strategic data migration and ingestion as we move from on-premises systems to a modern Snowflake-based data lake architecture.
