Family Medicine Physician

Location: Long Island City / Queens, New York

Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Direct Hire

A dedicated community healthcare organization is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician to join its health center in Long Island City, New York.

This direct-hire position provides comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population spanning pediatric, adolescent, and adult care. Working in both a clinic setting and partner community sites, you will deliver full-scope family medicine, supervise advanced practice providers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to advance health equity and preventative care in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care, comprehensive well-care examinations, physicals, and gynecological care across pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient populations
• Diagnose acute and chronic conditions, write prescriptions, and inform patients regarding prescribed treatment plans
• Direct the course of patient medical treatment, answer clinical inquiries, and manage electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in accordance with collaborative practice agreements, providing clinical guidance and technical support
• Coordinate care through specialist referrals, case management, on-site behavioral health, and community advocacy resources
• Participate in rotated shared call coverage, peer reviews, clinical guideline development, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine; active DEA registration
• Active, unrestricted New York State Medical License AND active status as a New York State Individual Medicaid Provider
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical Family Medicine experience required
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish or other languages is preferred
