The Homewood Suites New Braunfels hotel is hiring for a positive, self driven, dependable hotel Houseperson to join the team! This position as a Houseperson requires attention to detail, efficient cleaning ability, problem solving, multitasking, speed and organization. This is a position is within a fast pace and team oriented workplace environment. This hotel position is an essential team member in assisting our hotel guests have the highest quality experience and representation while staying in our hotel facilities. Maintains the orderly and attractive conditions in the hotel. Promotes an atmosphere of cleanliness and superior customer care for hotel guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and employee break room and other work areas
*
Assisting room attendants on strip linens from check-out rooms
*
Abide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals
*
Vacuum, sweep, dust, and clean rooms to hotel standards
*
Refurnish the room with supplies, towels etc.
*
Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
*
Assist with laundry
*
Assist front desk and other departments with delivering guest amenities
*
Clean rooms as needed / be a back-up support for housekeeping
QUALIFICATIONS:
*
High school diploma or GED preferred
*
Previous housekeeping experience preferred
*
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
*
Creative thinker on problem solving, and responsible for the completion.
*
Previous customer service experience
*
Available to work as early as 4am and as late as to 10 pm. Also weekends, and holidays.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
The best candidates will need to have flexible availability to work shifts that vary. This position includes working day shifts and night shifts that may be extended hours depending on company needs. This position also includes working weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
Must be able to walk, stand and bend for extended periods of time. Must be physically able to grasp, grip, pull, push, twist, turn and lift boxes, which average around 25-30 pounds each; 50 pounds or more with assistance; maneuver housekeeping carts which can weigh up to 110 pounds.
