Job Title: IGCSE & A Level Economics Teacher

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Economics teacher to deliver high-quality instruction for IGCSE and A Level students. The successful candidate will inspire learners, foster critical thinking, and support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes in an international school environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging lessons in IGCSE and A Level Economics
* Develop schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with Cambridge or Edexcel curricula
* Prepare students for external examinations, including assessment and feedback
* Monitor and track student progress, providing targeted support where needed
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
* Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related field
* Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
* Experience teaching IGCSE and/or A Level Economics
* Strong subject knowledge and understanding of international curricula
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Ability to adapt to a multicultural environment

*Desirable Qualifications

* Experience teaching in an international school or overseas setting
* Familiarity with Cambridge International or Pearson Edexcel specifications
* Evidence of strong student exam results
* Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities (e.g., business clubs, economics societies)
