Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of data center technicians, providing guidance, training, and support
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and storage systems
  • Monitor data center performance, ensuring uptime and reliability of all systems
  • Perform hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Manage rack and stack operations, cabling, and labeling standards
  • Coordinate with network, systems, and security teams to resolve incidents
  • Ensure compliance with data center best practices, safety protocols, and documentation standards
  • Maintain inventory of equipment, parts, and tools
  • Support capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades
  • Respond to incidents, outages, and on-call emergencies as needed

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a data center or similar technical environment
  • Proven experience working with servers, networking hardware, and structured cabling
  • Strong understanding of data center operations, including power, cooling, and redundancy
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and replacement
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in a lead or supervisory role
  • Familiarity with Linux/Windows server environments
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, switching, routing fundamentals)
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or relevant vendor certifications

Working Setup:

  • Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs)
  • Work in a data center environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
  • May require shift work, weekends, or on-call availability
