The ideal candidate will have extensive full-time Unity programming experience in games. As a lead game developer, you will be responsible for leading the development team. This includes design, development, coding, testing, and debugging. You will also coordinate the development team’s schedule and ensure effective communication between team members and other areas, set up a development pipeline, estimate task completion, write technical design documents and assist the producer in having a vision for the future
For this role, you will join the client’s original team ahead of the launch of a cloud-streamed party game and take over day-to-day engineering delivery of its post-launch roadmap: social features, asynchronous multiplayer, themed content updates and, later, multiplayer across households. You will work as an extension of the client’s studio in Helsinki. The game is built in Unity 6.3 (C#, URP, FMOD) and streams from the cloud to a TV, with phones acting as controllers (TypeScript/React).
