Job Title: Medical Economics Analyst

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 12 Months

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Economics Analyst to support healthcare analytics initiatives focused on cost optimization, utilization management, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in medical economics (MedEcon), retrospective data analysis, and building analytical solutions that drive clinical and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform medical economics analysis with a focus on healthcare utilization, cost trends, and efficiency opportunities.
  • Conduct retrospective analytics to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential areas for clinical or operational interventions.
  • Develop and deliver ad hoc reports, responding to business requests with accurate and timely insights.
  • Design and build analytics solutions, including dashboards and self-service reporting tools.
  • Support development of data-driven workflows and services that enhance decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical, operations, and finance stakeholders.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in Medical Economics (MedEcon) with emphasis on cost and utilization analysis.
  • Proven expertise in retrospective data analysis within healthcare or payer environments.
  • Experience in ad hoc reporting and handling data requests efficiently.
  • Hands-on experience in analytics development, including dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in data tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau/Power BI, or similar BI tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare payer domain.
  • Familiarity with claims data, provider data, and population health analytics.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations.
