Job Description

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Austin, Texas location to perform blood collections, process specimens, and provide patient services. The role involves venipuncture and capillary techniques across all age groups, with Monday–Friday hours and potential weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood using venipuncture and capillary collection techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol testing
• Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs accurately
• Prepare specimens for testing and process billing information
• Deliver superior customer service and perform administrative duties as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification from accredited agency or equivalent training
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• 2+ years phlebotomy experience in clinical or hospital setting (preferred)
• 1+ years experience assisting diverse patient populations (preferred)
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Flexibility to work overtime and high-volume environment
