Job Description
Large manufacturer and distributor of chocolate products is hiring for a 2nd shift Production Supervisor for their operations team. They develop and supply product for some of the leading retailers and wholesalers in the US. Must have experience working within Food Manufacturing. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time output
- Lead, train, and manage production staff, ensuring adherence to food safety (GMP, HACCP) and workplace safety standards
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with regulatory and company food safety requirements
- Plan and adjust production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines
- Assign tasks, track performance, and provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action as needed
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
- Ensure proper use, readiness, and basic maintenance of production equipment
- Maintain accurate production, safety, and attendance records; track key performance metrics (KPIs)
- Troubleshoot operational issues and collaborate with management to resolve them quickly
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
