Job Description and Duties

Planning, organizing and assigning work to communications center personnel; ability to work a variety of  shifts – including holidays and weekends; prepare performance evaluations, monthly CHP 100PSD forms,  citizens’ complaints, injury and illness reports; monitor/manage critical incidents; ability to perform dispatch  duties using InformCAD; provide direction and assistance to subordinate personnel and other duties as  assigned.

PSDS I staff is on the 4/10 alternate workweek with seniority sign-ups.

  • The position(s) require(s) a Drug Screening be passed prior to being hired.
  • The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
  • The position(s) require(s) Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
  • The position(s) require(s) a(n) Typing Certificate. You will be required to provide a copy of your certificate prior to being hired.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

Ability to prepare staff work with little or no direction; manage multiple projects; effective time management  skills and above-average interpersonal skills. Will be expected to report to work on time, with a minimum  number of absences.
