Scrum Master, AI Development
About This Role
The Scrum Master serves as the Agile process leader for Insight's AI Development team. This role manages multiple concurrent projects and ensures that development teams operate efficiently within the Scrum framework. You will remove impediments, facilitate ceremonies, and coach the team on Agile best practices — enabling the team to consistently deliver high-quality AI solutions across a range of enterprise transformation initiatives, from conversational AI and intelligent automation to analytics and data platform projects.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint reviews) across multiple simultaneous projects.
Shield the development team from external distractions; proactively identify and remove impediments to delivery.
Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement.
Track and report on sprint velocity, burndown, and team health metrics; surface risks and bottlenecks early.
Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure backlogs are well-groomed, prioritized, and ready for sprint planning.
Coordinate cross-team dependencies when multiple teams or projects intersect.
Drive process improvements based on retrospective outcomes and team feedback.
Maintain project documentation, dashboards, and communication channels in Jira.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, with demonstrated ability to manage 2–3 projects simultaneously.
Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master preferred.
Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and scaled Agile frameworks; experience tailoring processes to team needs.
Tools: Proficiency with Jira for tracking tasks, sprints, and velocity.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; strong facilitation and conflict-resolution abilities.
Technical Awareness: Sufficient understanding of software development and cloud technologies to effectively communicate with engineering teams.
Nice to Have: Experience working with AI/ML development teams or in a technology product organization.
