What You'll Do - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or the public by following site-specific policies, access procedures, and security-related protocols within a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations, and communicate updates to site supervision and/or client representatives.
- Monitor assigned areas and entry points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with visitor management and traffic flow per post orders.
Minimum Requirements - Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Have a college degree.
- Be at least 21+ years of age.
- Handcuffs and/or pepper spray and/or baton experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
