Position Overview
Lightstone is seeking to hire two summer interns within the Accounting department to help support the team across a variety of company-wide projects. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with strong analytical skills and a passion for real estate asset types and their related accounting.
This is a full-time, non-exempt role running from approximately June 8th to August 14th.

Essential Functions
Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers.
Maintain and record fixed assets.
Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities and reconcile the intercompany receivables and payables.
Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances.
Assist in compiling reporting packages to lenders and/or joint venture partners.
Assist in compiling and reviewing external audit requests for various testing.
Complete miscellaneous team requests as-needed.
Competencies And Experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with MRI or Yardi preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, project management.
Strong verbal/written communication skills and a team player.
Studying towards a degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience required.
Working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam preferred.
