Overview
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) sought for a travel assignment in Oakland, California. This full-time temporary role starts May 11, 2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Earn a weekly pay rate of $722 to $733 with guaranteed 35 hours per week. The shift is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (5x8 days). Work setting: skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities
- Provide PTA support under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, following established treatment plans
- Facilitate therapeutic exercises, gait training, gait training with assistive devices, range of motion, strength and balance activities, and functional mobility
- assist patients with activities of daily living as appropriate and educate patients and families on home programs
- Document patient progress, response to interventions, and any changes to the plan of care in a timely, accurate manner
- Monitor patient safety during therapy sessions, ensure proper body mechanics, and maintain equipment and a clean therapy area
- Collaborate with the supervising PT and rehab team to communicate patient progress and assist with discharge planning as needed

Requirements
- Active California Physical Therapy Assistant license or eligibility
- Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Availability for a travel/temporary assignment and the listed shift
- Commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to facility policies and safety standards
