TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) to provide healthcare services in correctional facilities. This role is ideal for RNs who excel in fast-paced environments, delivering medical care to incarcerated individuals while ensuring safety and compliance with correctional healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals, including assessments and treatments .
  • Administer medications, wound care, and emergency interventions as needed.
  • Respond to medical emergencies , including injuries, overdoses, and acute illnesses.
  • Assist with intake screenings and routine health assessments .
  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with facility policies.
  • Collaborate with correctional officers and healthcare staff to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Educate patients on chronic disease management and preventive healthcare .
  • Follow security protocols and maintain a professional demeanor in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience , preferably in corrections, emergency medicine, or public health.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills .
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations and work in a secure environment.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
  • Willingness to comply with facility-specific security procedures .
