Overview
Surgical Tech – Labor & Delivery | Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. Travel assignment starting 06/08/2026 for 13 weeks in a hospital-based setting. Guaranteed 36 hours per week with a pay range of $2,193 to $2,316 per week. Shift: 12-hour nights from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am (no block scheduling). This is a travel - temporary assignment facilitated by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate for labor and delivery procedures requiring surgical tech support; maintain a sterile field and assist with instrument setups
- Pass instruments, maintain counts (sponges, needles, instruments) and assist the surgeon during procedures such as cesarean deliveries as directed
- Prepare the operating room, position the patient, and assist with anesthesia support as needed; ensure availability of equipment and supplies
- Maintain strict aseptic technique, monitor equipment function, and uphold patient safety throughout perioperative care
- Document pertinent perioperative information; assist with EPIC or other EMR documentation as requested
- Collaborate with the surgical team, obstetric nursing staff, and physicians to support efficient workflow and safe patient care

Requirements
- Certifications: Active certification in NCCT, AST, NBSTA, or NRST required at submission
- Experience: 2+ years of Labor & Delivery unit experience; travel experience required; acute care experience required
- References: 2 recent L&D Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references
- Licenses/IDs: Driver’s license with address that matches demographics
- Documentation: Up-to-date resume; current AHA BLS; flu vaccine during the season
- EMR: EPIC experience preferred
- Additional: RTO (reasonable time off) must be requested at submission; ability to work in a Labor & Delivery setting
