About Us
Established in 2001, Penns Woods Winery is a family-owned, 100% Pennsylvania-grown winery in the Brandywine Valley producing premium, Euro-style wines. For over two decades we’ve combined time-honored sustainable farming practices with a modern winemaking facility to craft wines that reflect the unique character of our region. We’re looking for an experienced Vineyard Manager to lead the cultivation of our estate fruit across all of our growing sites.

The Role
The Vineyard Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our vineyards across five locations, ensuring consistent, high-quality fruit production from bud break through harvest. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for crop planning, vine health, labor management, and coordination with our winemaking team to meet annual production goals.We’re looking for a team member who understands the importance of vineyard excellence in producing high-quality wine. With 53 acres under vine across multiple sites, this role is mission-critical to the future of Penns Woods Winery.

Responsibilities
•  Manage all vineyard operations across five sites, including but not limited to pruning, canopy management, pest and disease control, and harvest scheduling
•  Develop and execute annual vineyard work plans and budgets for each location
•  Monitor vine health, soil conditions, and weather patterns; adjust practices accordingly
•  Hire, train, and supervise vineyard crew and seasonal labor
•  Maintain and operate vineyard equipment and coordinate maintenance/repairs
•  Track and report on yields, costs, and crop quality metrics
•  Collaborate closely with the winemaking team on fruit quality, harvest timing, and crop loads
•  Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural, safety, and environmental regulations
•  Maintain accurate records of spray applications, irrigation, and field activity
•  Collaborate on estate landscaping, road upkeep and facility maintenance

Qualifications
•  3+ years of proven experience managing vineyard operations, ideally across multiple sites
•  Strong knowledge of viticulture practices, including IPM, canopy management, and cool-
climate or Eastern U.S. growing conditions
•  Experience supervising and scheduling crews
•  Proficiency in operating and maintaining vineyard equipment and machinery
•  Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record and ability to tow under PA “Farm” Department of Transportation regulations.
•  Strong organizational and communication skills
•  Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and travel routinely between vineyard sites
