Job Description

Piccolo Morini – Beverage Manager/Bar Manager

Piccolo Morini marks the newest opening from Altamarea Group — the acclaimed hospitality company behind Marea, Ai Fiori, and 53 — debuting in SoHo with a vibrant, pasta-driven menu rooted in the traditions of Northern Italy. A natural evolution of the beloved Osteria Morini, Piccolo Morini brings a renewed sense of energy to the neighborhood through handcrafted pastas, Italian small plates, and a lively, convivial dining experience.

At its core, Piccolo Morini reflects everything guests have come to love about the Morini legacy: soulful cooking, genuine hospitality, and a warm, unpretentious atmosphere. As part of Altamarea Group, team members join a culture rooted in growth, excellence, and opportunity—where a commitment to people is just as important as a commitment to the guest experience.

Position Summary:
The Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the beverage program, including wine, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic offerings. This role ensures a high-quality, consistent beverage experience aligned with Altamarea Group standards while supporting financial performance, team development, and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate comes with experience as a Bartender, and a passion for hospitality and growth.

Responsibilities include:
• Oversee and maintain the beverage program, including wine lists, cocktails, and non-alcoholic offerings
• Collaborate with leadership to develop and update beverage menus aligned with the concept and seasonality
• Train, mentor, and develop FOH staff on beverage knowledge, service standards, and upselling techniques

• Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
• Monitor beverage cost, margins, and overall financial performance
• Maintain accurate records, including invoices and inventory logs
• Lead by example on the floor, providing hands-on support during service
• Collaborate with FOH and BOH teams to ensure a seamless guest experience
• Uphold cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout all beverage areas
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback related to beverage service

Requirements:
  • Open availability with the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong background in hospitality with experience managing beverage programs preferred
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and beverage service standards
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to train and develop team members
  • Ability to walk, stand, talk, kneel, bend, run, lift, sit, for long durations or without any assistance.
