Job Title: Dispatch Agent

Job Location: Laredo, TX

We have an exciting opportunity for a Dispatch Agent to support and coordinate the daily operational activities of customer accounts. This position will be based at the Laredo, TX location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor daily dispatch activities for inbound and outbound shipments
  • Communicate shipment status updates to internal teams, carriers, and customers
  • Schedule, assign, and track drivers and equipment to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries
  • Review customer requests and service requirements and allocate resources accordingly
  • Prepare and update dispatch records in computerized systems including logs, delivery tickets, orders, and tracking tools
  • Ensure all shipments comply with established procedures, regulations, and safety standards
  • Maintain visibility on freight movements and proactively address delays, exceptions, and service issues
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure shipments are prepared and staged for dispatch
  • Support inventory accuracy by ensuring correct documentation and timely system updates
  • Utilize radio, phone, and digital communication systems to relay instructions to drivers
  • May assist with customer service inquiries related to shipment status and troubleshooting
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills / Requirements:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation operations experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
  • Familiarity with freight forwarding, warehouse operations, or trucking industry preferred
  • Proficient in computer systems, data entry, and shipment tracking tools
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Able to sit, stand, and use communication equipment for extended periods

Pay Range: $18.00/hr. in accordance with the CBA
