Job Description

Salary: $66,000 - 106,000 per year Requirements:

• We require at least three years of recent Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or equivalent cloud systems development experience.
• We require a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
• We look for experience designing cloud architectures and implementing production infrastructure and applications, ideally in GCP using an infrastructure-as-code approach.
• Experience building data and analytics platforms on cloud environments is a plus.
• Experience with cloud-native container technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker is preferred.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet is preferred.
• We value basic software development experience and scripting ability.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and comfort working in terminal-based development environments are preferred.
• Experience with source code management tools such as Git and SVN is needed.
• We need the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
• We expect a strong understanding of networking, identity management, monitoring, logging, and vulnerability management.
• Strong knowledge of security concepts, protocols, and configuration, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and PKI, is important.
• Knowledge of IT operating models and processes is a plus.
• Experience hardening infrastructures and systems and developing highly available, scalable systems is a plus.
• We require the ability to travel as needed.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer-sponsored visa support.

• We lead the design and implementation of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure using Terraform, with an emphasis on modularity, reusability, and long-term maintainability.
• We apply deep expertise in GCP networking, including network design standards and Network Connectivity Center (NCC) hub-and-spoke architectures.
• We architect and maintain secure, dependable hybrid cloud integrations between on-premises environments and GCP.
• We design, build, and support scalable data platforms on GCP using services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
• We support Generative AI initiatives by helping development teams use GCP AI/ML services, especially Vertex AI for model development, training, and deployment.
• We implement and maintain security controls and compliance policies across the GCP environment, with a strong focus on IAM/RBAC and regulatory standards.
• We create automated CI/CD pipelines for provisioning and managing GCP resources using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Google Cloud Build.
• We implement monitoring, logging, and operational tooling to improve platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• We provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, promoting continuous learning, engineering excellence, and operational discipline.
